4G Availability in Bangladesh:

Following many developed and developing countries, the internet in Bangladesh has witnessed significant growth.
 
By 2011, the number of internet users in Bangladesh had seen amazing growth. It was over 900% bringing the total number of users to 5,501,609 mainly because of the wide availability of mobile internet access.
                
Although facing many constraints, on 19 February 2018, Bangladesh started the 4G network service.  Most Bangladeshis' experience their first internet service via mobile services. 90% of Bangladesh's internet users use their internet using mobile services.
 
Out of the mobile operators, Banglalink, Grameenphone, Robi, and Teletalk offer 3G, 4G services in 64 districts of Bangladesh. Others offer 3G, 4G internet service in some specific areas, and EDGE or GPRS GSM internet service in the rest of the areas. The operators are working on expanding their 3G, 4G services in all areas.
 
According to some studies, Grameenphone and Airtel Bangladesh were the only operators in BD to score above 75% in 4G availability. That means the users on average were able to connect to 4G services more than 75% of the time on both the networks Gp and Airtel. On the other hand, Robi was marked 1% less than these operators.

According to BTRC, the number of internet users in Bangladesh is 92 million. Some 86.2 million of them search the web on their mobile phones. Bangladesh is slowly moving up in the worldwide ICT rankings.
 
Though the internet speed in Bangladesh may not be among the fastest in the world, it has significantly improved in the recent past. The internet providers and the government are working hard to ensure better service at the cheapest rate possible to the users of Bangladesh.
